Terms & Conditions

1. Status of terms

1.1 These terms constitute a legal document ("the Agreement"), which sets out the rights and obligations of you as a user or purchaser ("you") and those of Caravan Parts Shop ("we" or "us") in relation to the products and services offered by us through this site or any of the other sites owned by us (“the Web Site”). By using the Web Site, ordering products from us or registering for Caravan Parts Shop services, you agree to the terms of this Agreement, and you re-affirm that agreement every time you use the Web Site or any of our services.

1.2 You agree to: provide true, accurate, current and complete information about you as prompted by our registration form (such information being the "Registration Data"); and maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to keep it true, accurate, current and complete. If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or Caravan Parts Shop has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, Caravan Parts Shop has the right to suspend or terminate your account, cease supply and refuse you any and all current or future use of the the Caravan Parts Shop site (or any portion of it).

1.3 We reserve the right to: modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently, this Web Site (or any part thereof) with or without notice to you and you confirm that we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification to or withdrawal of the Web Site; and/or change the Agreement from time to time, and your continued use of the Web Site (or any part thereof) following such change shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change. It is your responsibility to check regularly to determine whether the Agreement has been changed. If you do not agree to any change to the Agreement then you must immediately stop using the Web Site.

2. Placing an order

2.1 A notice will be displayed on your web browser before you submit an order with Caravan Parts Shop. This contains important information such as a description, price and delivery charges of the goods or services ordered. We suggest that you print off a hard copy of the notice or save a copy to your hard drive for your own records.

2.2 We accept payment by most major credit and debit cards including Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Maestro and Electron. We also accept Paypal under certain circumstances. Payment is deducted when we process your order.

2.3 All prices and charges on this web site are in British Pounds (GBP). Payments made by cards issued in any other country may be subject to currency conversion fees by your bank.

2.4 You place the order for your products on the web site by pressing the pay now button at the end of the checkout process. We will send to you an order acknowledgement email detailing the products you have ordered. This is not an order confirmation or order acceptance from Caravan Parts Shop. As your product is shipped from one of our warehouses we will send you a despatch confirmation email. Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the despatch to you of the products ordered.

2.5 We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the Web Site are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the Web Site as up to date as possible, the information including product descriptions appearing on this Web Site at a particular time may not always reflect the position at the moment you place an order. In the event the products ordered are not as described, Caravan Parts Shop Shop will give you the right to reject the goods within a reasonable time period for a full refund.

2.6 It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that delivery address information is correctly provided. Caravan Parts Shop is unable to verify address information prior to dispatching your order. We provide a UK Postcode lookup facility to assist customers with this. Where an address is not found or is incorrect in the database, the address can be manually overwritten to ensure correct address details are received. We are unable to accept responsibility for goods delivery incorrectly to an address provided by the customer.

2.7 In the unlikely event that an incorrect price is shown on the Web Site. Caravan Parts Shop reserves the right to not fulfil the order at that price. In such a circumstance, you will be notified, and given the choice to proceed with the order at the correct price.

2.8 All prices shown are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate. Should the applicable VAT rate change, Caravan Parts Shop reserve the right to adjust retail prices accordingly. For items which are placed on back order, VAT will be charged at the applicable rate at time of dispatch.

2.9 You agree that we may use personal information provided by you in the course of placing your order to conduct any appropriate fraud checks. As part of these checks, personal information that you have provided may be disclosed to a credit reference or fraud prevention agency, which may keep a record of that information.

2.10 We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Web Site.

3. Returns and cancellation policy

3.1 Subject to the right of consumers to return goods for refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Caravan Parts Shop does not sell products on a trial basis or for diagnostic purposes. Customers are strongly advised to check suitability and specifications of products before ordering.

3.2 Caravan Parts Shop offers B2C customers the opportunity to request a return up to 14 days after receipt (“the Returns Period”), subject to the terms and conditions in this returns policy.

3.3 You can examine the goods as you would in a shop but to obtain a full refund you must not start using them, install them or input any data/software. The goods must be returned in ‘as new’ condition and in their original packaging at your expense.

3.4 You must, prior to returning any goods received, contact our Customer Services Department by completing our online form or by replying to your order confirmation email to obtain a RMA (Returns Material Authorisation) number. Upon receipt of your cancellation request, you will be provided with a RMA via email. This will contain your RMA number, the address to which your item must be returned as well as important information relating to your return. Failure to contact us in respect of a return or cancellation in line with one of the methods set out above will result in the product being rejected and/or returned to you. We are unable to identify returns without a RMA number.

3.5 If you exercise your right to cancel your order after the goods have been despatched, you will be responsible for returning the goods to Caravan Parts Shop at your own risk and cost, therefore we strongly recommend you use an insured delivery method. (See 3.10 below in relation to the return of faulty goods.)

3.6 All returns are subject to the following conditions, except where the goods are faulty or incorrectly described on the Web Site.

3.6.1 Your product must be complete, including all accessories, in its original, unmarked box / packaging and in 'as new' condition (e.g. if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product or packaging). We may accept returns within the Returns Period that do not fully comply with this requirement, but this will be subject to a restocking charge (20% of the sales price plus postage) to cover the loss that we might reasonably expect to incur in reselling the item(s).

3.6.2 Any applicable software, memory cards and DVDs can only be accepted if still sealed. This policy is to avoid any potential breach of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act (CDPA) 1988. All opened software is exempt from return under the terms of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Software that arrives damaged or is physically faulty may be returned under our normal returns policy.

  • A proof of purchase must be supplied.
  • You must return any free gifts which came with the product.
  • We will not refund any items that have been specially ordered to your individual specification or that have been personalised.
  • Goods must be received by us within 14 calendar days of us issuing your RMA. Returns received outside of this period will be rejected. We would advise returning your goods as soon as possible to ensure sufficient time for delivery.

3.7 Until such time as you return the goods to us you must take reasonable care of the item(s). Any use of or damage to the delivered goods or product packaging beyond that necessary to inspect the goods upon delivery will result in you incurring a reduction of your refund to cover the loss that we might reasonably expect to incur in reselling the item(s) - (See point 3.6 above).

3.8 Faulty goods: You will always have the option of an exchange or refund if the fault occurs within 30 days of delivery. If there is a fault with your product within six months of delivery but after the first 30 days, we will offer a repair or exchange in the first instance. At our discretion you may instead be offered a full / partial refund. After six months but within 12 months (24 months for applicable products) we will offer a repair or exchange only. In all cases we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify the fault and, if no fault is found, return the product to you, the cost of which, to be paid by the customer. In these circumstances, no refund will be processed until the returned goods have been received by us and an appraisal made as to any fault. This promise does not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear.

3.9 Returns for exchange: Where the incorrect goods have been ordered and are being returned for an exchange, Caravan Parts Shop reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee to cover the cost of shipping the replacement items. The cost of re-delivery will be calculated based on the number of items, size and weight of the parcel. The minimum charge for re-delivery will be £9.99. The total cost of re-delivery will be confirmed with the customer prior to shipping.

3.10 Exchanged or replacement goods will be shipped to the delivery address specified on the original order. Where your address has since changed or you need shipping to an alternative address, you must request this in writing, by email, before returning your goods.

3.11 Any refund due to a fault or other defect within the first six months following purchase will include a refund of the delivery charge. In such circumstances we will also pay for your costs of returning the goods (up to £3.29 (Royal Mail Tracked 48) for chargers and £3.99 (Yodel via Parcel2Go.com) for batteries). Beyond six months you will be responsible for covering the costs of returning the goods (unless you have been able to establish that the goods were defective at the time of original delivery, in which case we will reimburse your costs as set out above). We strongly recommend you use an insured method. Replacement goods are sent by standard delivery only (i.e. premium services are not available).

3.12 Returns and Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt of the returned products.

3.13 THIS RETURNS POLICY DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS. DETAILS OF YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE CITIZENS ADVICE BUREAU OR CONSUMER DIRECT.

3.14 This returns policy does not apply to B2B transactions. In the case of a B2B transaction, return requests within 7 calendar days may be considered and will be at the sole discretion of Caravan Parts Shop. All returns will incur a 20% restocking charge, unless the item is faulty.

3.15 A B2B transaction is assumed where a company name is included as part of the billing address, or where a business Paypal account, business credit, debit or purchasing card is used to pay for your order.

4. Product Guarantees

4.1 All of our products are supplied with a minimum 12 months manufacturers guarantee. We also provide a further 12 months guarantee on the majority of our laptop chargers.

4.2 We cover the product to remain in working order for the life of that guarantee - in other words against manufacturer defect causing breakdown.

4.3 Accidental damage, damage caused by misuse or fair wear and tear are not covered under the manufacturers guarantee. This includes damage to casings, cables or connectors.

4.4 The manufacturers guarantee does not cover damage or failure that is a direct consequence of connecting the product to an incompatible device. Connecting your product to an incompatible device may cause damage to the product and to your device.

4.5 The manufacturers guarantee does not cover batteries that have been left in storage for long periods of time without being periodically charged / discharged or that have exceeded their natural life expectancy in terms of charge / discharge cycles. Please see our rechargeable laptop battery instructions for more information.

4.6 Where a product is confirmed to be faulty, we will replace your product with a new one where possible. If no replacement is available we may offer an alternative product or a partial refund. It is not possible to repair laptop chargers or laptop batteries. 4.7 Replacement products will take on the remainder of your original guarantee. Guarantees are not renewed.

The delivery company will only hold your parcel for a limited period before returning the order to us. Please arrange a re-delivery or collection as soon as possible.

5.4 Where an order is rejected or undeliverable and has been returned to sender, we will refund your order less the original shipping costs plus an administration fee of £6 to cover the cost of the return, restocking and refunding your payment. 5.7 Stated delivery times are estimates, based on historic data. Whilst the vast majority of deliveries are made within the suggested time frame, delivery times are not guaranteed unless specified. If for some reason your order is delayed we will gladly work with the courier company to track down your order and ensure a delivery as quickly as possible. We are unable to refund delivery charges for delays beyond our control. Please be aware that battery orders to Scotland may take an additional day to arrive as they are prohibited from internal flights and have to travel by road. All deliveries to outlying or remote areas may take an additional day to arrive.

5.8 Any damages or errors with your order must be reported to us within 72 hours of receiving your order. We are unable to entertain claims after 72 hours of receipt. Should your delivery appear damaged on receipt and you are required to sign for the delivery please ask the delivery driver to make a note of the damage before accepting the delivery. If possible, please photograph the damaged packaging prior to opening.

5.9 Non delivery claims must be made within 28 days of receiving your order dispatch notification email.
